Description An ID based on "Select Your Character" screens.

So, it's time I made a decent Deviant Identification. I was inspired by and his bitchin' Pixel Fighter DevID. Now, I wanted to make my own, but as you may see my previous version of such an attempt... it kinda tanked.

I decided to start over, this time after some improvements being made on the overall execution of the idea. I worked in Paint.NET to get the transparent bits done, and I hope they turned out correctly.

The Character Portrait is actually a pre-existing FH pixelart I edited from a couple Sonic portraits from Sonic Advance 3, blown up by double its size and redrawn to show more detail at the increased size. The sprite is FH utilizing the "Totencreuz" Special from Disgaea on an unfortunate Shadow Heartless. I kinda feel sorry for the little guy...

STAT INFO:

ATK - Attack: Determines damage dealt to enemies. Higher star rank, higher damage dealt.
DEF - Defense: Determines damage recieved from attacks. Lower star rank, more damage taken.
SPD - Speed: Determines speed of attack execution. Higher star rank, faster execution.
END - Endurance: Determines overall health. Higher star rank, higher HP & elemental resistance.
LUK - Luck: Determines rate of item drops. Higher star rank, more likely to pick up rare drops.
WLL - Will: Determines HP/MP/Drive recovery rate. Higher star rank, faster energy recovery.

Maybe the next move I should do is post my spritesheet up here so you can see how wrong you are about most of that reply, rephrase it accordingly, and see if that appeases me.

Notice anything different from your typical recolor? That's right, I put hard work and effort into these sprites. I spent a good two hours on the primary hseet alone, trying to compare all the moves I've used as FH in roleplaying situations to viable sprites to use; if I couldn't EDIT (and that's the million-dollar password there, EDIT) them to fit the occasion, I made my own. Case in point: The introduction (jacket-removing) and victory (juggling gem) sprites, the "charred and burnt to a crisp" sprites, the Burst Spinning Finger, WTHDYTIA Kick and Hell & Heaven moves, Climbing, swimming, and fighting stance (top row, the four top-left sprites). I spent another hour or so editing them to have the clothing FH wears (and let me tell you something, it takes a while to sprite a pair of pants on a hedgehog).

Also, take into account the sheer number of sprites in these sheets together; they're enough to rival even AkumaTH's sprites.

So, you might want to take back that "recolor" line, or at the very least replace it with "Heavy edit".

And in closing, you really shouldn't compare me to an unoriginal recolor. You honestly don't have a leg to stand on in that situation; I've read your character's biography, and I've seen how "intimidating" and "frightening" you've tried to make him. And you've got a long way to go, pal. As clichΓ©d as the whole "rawr, I'm an undead knight who rules an army of zombies, fear my angsty minions as I slaughter people" thing is, you draw it all out to a new low. So don't you dare try to preach to me about how to be more creative; You'll fail every step of the way.
