Description
i always felt bad for rapunzel, kidnapped by a witch locked in a tower, the first male human being she ever seestricks her, climbs up her hair (OUCH! come on! her hair!!!)
"marries" her, then impregnates her. ALL in the first moments of meeting her mind you!!
Poor rapunzel! would she even know what was going on?
did the witch ever give her "the talk" ?
i always liked her character, but really her life sucked pretty bad for a princess!!

Ever since I saw 'Into the Woods' I cant get over the awkwardness of it all. I never really thought about it much, but then I realized OUCH!

Actually, all of the other princesses had it pretty rough too.Snow White had to share a home with seven strange men and was smothered to death by an enchanted corset, sleeping beauty stayed in a coma for years, and cinderella was abused and treated as a drudge by her own stepmother then married a dude who only knew her by her shoe size.
It sucks to be a princess. But I never supported the monarchy anyway.
Awesome pic,as always. The look on her face is just priceless.

Sweet. I love your comment on the pic. Her face looks so funny, like she is really feeling it...I'd think it might even break her neck...
Good job!

Nice of you to think of this. I love her expression, reminds me somewhat of Princess Fiona from Shrek.

That's why in Into the Woods, she goes insane and kills herself.
Best musical ever.

I adore her expression. Back before I cut my hair, I had to make that face way too many times trying to brush it.
Ahh, fairy tales. I often prefer the ridiculously inaccurate but happy Disney versions because the originals are always so...morally dubious. I do love your commentary!

You did a lovely job. The expression is great.
The original Italian version of Sleeping Beauty is worse. There's rape and cannibalism in it.

That's so ironic; We're doing a parody of Rapunzel at our school, and the Rapunzel is really shallow and she claims she's never cut her hair because then she would have split ends, and then she would "be ugly and have to live in a dark cave far, far away."

Ooh, I loves it!
I imagine having someone climb up your hair would be very painful O.o Having somewhat long hair myself, I can appreciate that!

If she ever had any siblings, she'd have known the first rule: Don't Let Boys Within Tugging Distance of the Hair.
honestly, braids are just convenient handles to pull on...
