Thank you so very much. I replied on features page- what a marvelous job you have done- but I want to make sure that you knew I was appreciative. I don't get too much traffic, particularly when it takes me so long to complete a piece, so it means a lot to know that there are folks out there who are interested. As I said in the other post, DA has meant a lot to me. I know that it is people like you who make this place work. Sincerest gratitude. - Joshua

A kaleidoscopic delight of baroque imigary and heath robinson contraptions. An exquisite piece of art and a pleasure to explore. It set off so many other ideas and images as I let my eyes wander over all the hidden detail. The limited colour range unifies the sculpture and sets of the gold detailing to wonderful effect. Most excellent.

Heath Robinson... I wasn't aware of him, and I see now, after your reference, all that he hath wrought. Thanks for the reference and the encouragement. I'm looking forward to your next piece.

Thank you, I'm hung up on the phrase "fantasy of beauty." Is beauty a fantasy? Is it real? Where do these fantasies come from?

Thank you. I wish I could show you the inside. Perhaps one day, DA will be a 3-D virtual gallery. The paintings will be sculptures and the sculptures will be paintings.

Thanks. I appreciate that reference. What is it about these complex wonder machines that captivate us so? I was have an exchange with this DA artist Tassou, who makes incredible sculptures out of technotrash ([link] ), and he was talking about the fact that our technologies will soon become so small that the artifacts will be invisible.
