With a colorful robe, a colorful crown and her mother's necklace, Rainbow is certainly the queen of the Soft Serve Isles, but to her people, she is a national mother figure. The islands' residents look up to her fondly because she is understanding, fair and loving towards them always. She is the only living member of the royal sherbert cat bloodline, whose members included Raspberry Sherbert (Rainbow's mother and the last queen), Orange Sherbert (Rainbow's grandfather who ruled before Raspberry), and Lime Sherbert (Rainbow's great-grandmother and the islands' first queen). As one of the two current rulers, she bears several duties such as reading and answering letters sent to her and her husband, Banana Split, broadcasting important announcements via television, attending meetings with the town mayors and island commanders, and setting any new laws into place (such laws must be discussed with the people first). Rainbow's most important job, however, is one done with her special staff and that is to issue bells to cats that have achieved their "nice dream". The idea of a "nice dream" began with Rainbow's late mother, Raspberry Sherbert, who's dream was to shape the islands in her image: nice and dreamy; in other words, pleasant and relaxing enough for the residents to feel right at home in, something that two previous leaders were too stubborn to care about. The very first bell was made after a shooting star fell and hit Raspberry's walking stick, transforming it into a magic staff that, when it glowed, would create a bow tie with a round bell on it simply by waving the staff three times.
To this day, Rainbow keeps this very special staff by her at all times.
