Oh black bears ... so many encounters doing fieldwork. One ate the seat of someone's quad. Another drank our gasoline. One wandered in, sat in our excavation trench and happily ate our "reward for good work" candy as we fled back to our ATVs. Man, I miss working in the forest

My brother went camping the other year and fished in the afternoon. Woke up in the middle of the night with a black bear licking him because he smelled like fish. He thought it had been a raccoon. 
The bear wants pizza! He thinks he's people! ...Maybe the pizza's got anchovies on it...
