Great work. Also the fact that she's swimming up says a lot. Like she's swimming away from danger but risk is always attached to going towards what you want. If she was swimming sideways or down it might look like she's doomed. But here there's still hope.

Heh, thanks. Β In the original sketch, both the fish and the diver are moving from the right to the left; Julie suggested that the direction be reversed, to put the heroine (diver) on the right side of the image and the fish on the left, like staging a play (good character traditionally on the right, villain on the left). Β I think that it works well.
I'm glad that I was able to paint this: for days I wasn't coming up with anything even remotely interesting to paint. Β Good to have a bit of the creative mojo back, y'know?
