Let`s fly (or dive!) into the new year with Philogeia, the pegasus and Roufíchtra, the hippocampus!Honestly this piece was very unplanned. I practically winged it after having a dream about these two together in a very blue place (?). I`m so glad I went with it, though, as I`ve never done a piece like this before and I love love love LOVE underwater scenes!

This looks BEAUTIFUL! They almost seem as if they're chatting! (I imagine that'd be a little hard with the wind and water getting in the way XD)
I love the little touch with the dolphins and the birds in the far background, to further accentuate their underwater and high flying domains.
I also just noticed that there's something on Philogeia's back right leg. Is that a wound? It looks a little like a burn mark, or even like it was stuck somewhere and had to get pulled out rather roughly.

I can`t answer you about how Philogeia got her scars as it`s part of the Eerie Equines book I`m writing, but I can definitely say that one of your theories is scarily accurate!
