7/30/2023, UPDATE: I would just like to clarify that neither Devyn nor Axol are in Bryson's band. While yes, both are huge fans of his music and concerts, they are not necessarily part of the band- only friends and fans of it.

Or in this case, group of misfits! Three puffs, three humans >:3 All of them have at least one unique trait that stands out the most. And yes, I've added Devyn and Axol to Bryson's friend group because- why not? xD Going from left to right, we have: Natsu, Devyn, Davis, Bryson, Axol, and Jenny!

Natsu is an Asian American boy who plays the drums for Bryson's band. He's in 8th grade just like Bryson and Davis are, and he's a little bit overweight! He's 13 years old, he loves balloons and comic books, and he's been drumming ever since he was 7. He is also big on fantasy related anime and as a result doesn't have a lot of friends- people often call him a loser and pick on him because of it. Luckily, Bryson was the first one to befriend him on their first year of middle school! They have a tight bond with one another and will defend each other to the end. He gets along with the rest of the friend group really well, and would do anything for them at any given time. He's a sweetheart like that! He also senses a hint of attraction Bryson and Axol feel for each other, but doesn't say anything.

Devyn is a 7th grader who goes to the same school as Bryson does. How she stumbled onto the friend group, she didn't know herself. She was simply minding her own business watching horror game playthroughs on her phone in the hallways when she heard Bryson, Natsu, Jenny, and Davis practicing in the band room- she found herself quietly singing along to the rock and roll song, jamming out to each note they played. After they were done, Devyn realized she was dancing near the band room, but she couldn't move due to her being frozen in fear. When Bryson and his bandmates came out, she jumped a bit, hiding her face in pure shyness. She went from rambling fangirl of Bryson's band to being a part of the friend group- she even has a crush on the preppy 8th grader, Davis! Speaking of him...

Davis is a 14 year old boy whose passion is singing. He's actually the lead singer for Bryson's band! Bryson discovered Davis when he first saw him singing the national anthem at a school assembly- needless to say, he fell in love with his captivating, charming voice, and asked him to be a part of his band, right then and there. Davis was taken aback at the request- why would a powerless puff like HIM ask such a prestigious and suave guy? It had turned out that the former was looking for a singer in the band, and he had just found the perfect guy. At first, Davis was skeptical- what was in it for him? To keep his ego going, Bryson offered him the spot of lead singer, as long as he gets to be backup singer. The two shook on it, and as more band rehearsals go by, the two warmed up to each other. There is one problem- that one fiery red haired fangirl that always seems to be clinging onto the prep boy lately. What's up with that?

Axol is Bryson's most dearest, closest friend. He invited Axol to sit with him during lunch because the emo seemed really lonely. At first, the interaction seemed uncomfortable- Axol looked like he wanted to leave. But then Bryson gasped and complimented the hair dye endlessly, making a joke about it. "Since your name's Axol, did you know axolotls are blue? I love seeing that 'do axolotl questions!"
That seemed to make the emo crack a smile, snickering a bit. From that point on, the two became best friends, and Axol seemed to warm up to Bryson more and more. One day, he introduced Axol to his band, which was right before Devyn came in the picture. Needless to say, the emo went to every rehearsal, every concert, even private sessions with just him and Bryson when the latter is having writer's block. Once, Bryson dragged Axol up on stage, hoping he would dance or at least sing with the band. All he did was stand there awkwardly with an embarrassed look on his face while everyone stared at him. To ease the tension, Bryson sang alongside him while playing the guitar, encouraging him to wave his hands in the air. The boy did so, although hesitantly- Bryson simply smiled, and held his hand when the band finished with an epic bang- all the while raising his guitar up in the air. That was the moment Bryson knew... he felt a special type of way about his "ghostly friend. But his own heart isn't sure how to take it.
These two have a special bond, but neither are sure how to approach their feelings. For now, the two are comfortable with each other and their friendship. Bryson's always here to be someone to talk to, have a shoulder for Axol to cry on, hugs and "no homo" cuddles all combined, and vice versa. There will come a time when Bryson temporarily gains super powers, thanks to Axol.

Jenny is a 7th grader and is the bassist for Bryson's band. She's 13 years old, an asexual, and is the definition of a goth girl. It's taken her a long time to warm up to the group, considering she gets picked on for being a goth and is often accused of having dead animals in her closet and summoning spirits to the school. As a coping mechanism, playing the bass guitar engrosses her. One day, Natsu and Bryson heard her playing and listened to her for a while. When she was done, she glared at the boys, telling them that if they were just gonna stand there and stare at her, then to just go away. Bryson raised his hands and told Jenny they weren't going to hurt her- they actually liked her guitar playing and would like her to join the band. After much persistence from Natsu, the boy who's annoyed her since they were in elementary school, she relented and joined their band. At first, she called it stupid and would rather wear "preppy perfect" girl clothing than do this. However, she felt herself gain the boys' trust over time, and ever since then, she would always look out for them.
Jenny's tight with Axol and would always go with him to haunted houses, offering talks and seances to make the emo feel better if need be.

As a result, no one came in. However, from befriending Natsu to encountering Davis at a school assembly to inviting Jenny over, his band grew closer not only as bandmates, but as best friends.
