Just a fruits basket fan art of Kyo and Tohru, because I wuv them ^^I couldn't really think of a title so I just choose Beginning, though with Kyo's loving expression and Tohrus blush I'd say its more the beginning of realizing feelings rather than the actual beginning of when they became friends. I could have drawn Kyo in his school uniform while walking her home, but I like his cool ass jumper so I drew him like that instead (maybe he was skipping that day lol)
I've been a little...depressed lately so I'm glad I can draw something so soft and nice, even when I don't feel that way myself. It makes me a little happier to see it.
Anyways Fruits Basket makes me cry every time I watch it, but it really is an amazing anime, you should defo watch it if you haven't already. (And then read the manga, and cry at that too XD.)

I think they could if they wanted to, I mean the manga's right there waiting for them, I suppose its been a few years though since they first made it so maybe its been too long? Fruits basket is reli reli popular though so they could get allot of money if they made more seasons. ^^

It's so pretty and the blurred effect makes it look like a memory, it really seems like something Kyo would think of near the end of the manga, when Tohru kept running awayΒ Β

Even months after I read it, it still makes me sad thinking about some of the things, like right at the end where it shows Kyoko's death from her point of view, and you find out what she really meant to say to Kyo all alongΒ Β

Same here! I wanted to buy the whole set together but its so expensive its better to buy them separately from each other. The later manga chapters are pretty expensive too though, it must be because its so popular but I really want them.Β
The thing I really like about Fruits basket is that it deals with Tohru having to go on after her mothers death, and its not like a Disney film or something else where its just there to say; Shes deep, her moms dead but she keeps going.Β
You see how she puts everyone else first and hides her pain behind a happy face. It makes it feel very real because of how subtle her emotions can be sometimes. She does so much for people expecting nothing in return even though she needs to be looked after too. This is why I like Kyo x Tohru because he tells her often to try putting herself first for once.

I really liked it as well, mainly because all the characters had such developed personalities. In the anime, Tohru seemed a bit naive and simple, sort of, but the manga built her personality a lot more, mainly because it was longer. It seemed like most characters in the series had a sad or tragic backstory, but I was really glad that at the end they all got a happy ending. The author/mangaka was really skilled and they made the story very twisted up so it would reveal a little bit at a time, and it made the characters all very interesting so it was nearly impossible to choose a favourite. But mine is probably Kyo and Tohru, and I really like them as a couple as well. Probably the last thing I should talk about before this gets too long, I really liked how, unlike other things I've read/watched, almost everyone in the book got a romantic interest (true love? Idk) by the ending, but it didn't seem cliche and the couples were really believable, instead of just saying "these two love each other" and not showing any development. Ok, I have to eat dinner now

this is really amazing; the softness almost just blurrs everything, it has a real dreamy quality to it, like she's remembering. It just feels so warm and happy. Kyo's expression... It's just perfect.
