In Norse mythology, Fáfnir or Frænir is a son of the dwarf king Hreidmar and brother of Regin, Ótr, Lyngheiðr and Lofnheiðr.
After being affected by the curse of Andvari's ring and gold, Fafnir became a dragon and was slain by Sigurd.
