From Petedav: "Suggesting a Keijo!!! scenario which instead of water, the stadium is filled with golden liquid/liquid nitrogen where contestants that fell become golden/ice statues. You're free to choose which material you prefer.

In the long run, the best way to go into art like this is to just apply the idea of 'toon logic' into it. Since it's art, just think that characters who get tossed into such a predicament just kind of... continue to exist in -- what Matrix mentioned -- a kind of stasis.Β
Yeah, I know, if one applies real world logic on a piece like this, then lots of issues arise. It's best to just handwave it and not apply (too much) logic to a drawing.
