Daisy can't shake the feeling she has failed someone, but Peach tries to cheer her up.
In her Mindscape, Daisy's memories has been shattered similar to Peach's while she holds A memory of her and Luigi
Meanwhile Rosalina sees what is happening and decides to go and talk with the Doll Princess

I can confirm that Daisy's memories are just as fractured as Peach's.
Part 6b notes that Daisy doesn't remember Luigi all that well; all she knows is that she likes him a lot.
Luma is pretty much a mindless automaton that still instinctively follows Rosalina's commands.

More of a dramatic aftermath of Daisy's fourth failure and subsequent dollification. Her mindscape really goes to show just how much damage the toy shroom causes to whomever gets hit by it. As if Peach showing the process was bad enough...
As long as hey remain animated, both of their minds won't fade any further. If the animation ceases for whatever reason, then her mind will resume fading, essentially resulting in her death as a person. Undoing the toy shroom's effects reverses the mental effects, and it will restore their memories.
The shattered memory showing her with the actual Cure Twinkle is sure to raise some eyebrows XD
We all know what ends up happening to Rosalina... And it wasn't the Doll Princess who called for it; Peach and Daisy acted on their own initiative to protect a perceived threat, not recognizing her as their friend.
