SURPRISE!this is a rather RANDOM picture I just made
it took me about... maybe 4-7 hours. D:
This, dear watchers, is an illustration I did for my comic. LOL
I received the DVD from Gnomon with how to draw dinosaur anatomy right.. and this piece is my first try on 'seriouse' dinosaur xD
lol...
it still looks pretty cartoony.. but since it's an illustration for a comic I guess that's ok... D:
hmm... the only question is: WHO is gonna face his doom? X3 Shiro.. or the Rex?

WOW! im so jealous!! I draw pawed dragons, cuz i can't draw digits for my life, and MY dragons and other creatures are cartoony. This though, i don't think it looks cartoony at all. I love the detail on the dinosaur's face. instant fav. great work!

But this is really cool! I really like the work you have put into the Rex's anatomy and detail. I also like the shading effect you have used to show its textured skin. The detail and highlights used on the background and even on the characters, great use of colouration also. I like the dog's (Shiro was it?) pose atop of the cliff. Very inspiring actually, like an Against All Odds type ..thing =S But this is a very good piece of artwork

i wana see shiro attack it then it gets lyconthropy and becomes its slave as they travle the heck of thier own desighn threw mist and peral, and the T-rex is hairy and looks more like a bird or fluffy dragon then a rex

Oh the way the sun is lighting up the rock and the handsome beasty is absolutely fabulous. So beautifully done! The big bad Rex looks very realistic!!! I can't wait to see more of what that gift teaches you ^.^

Oh, this reminds me of the time that I was wandering through the desert and found myself face-to-face with a T-Rex, myself! I didn't survive the experience, but I must say, it wasn't as good-looking as yours is! And the background wasn't as beautiful, either, they never are in reality, somehow....

haha. who cares about reality? even if backgrounds don't look beautiful (actually I think they do sometimes. with the right light and athmosphere)

Hm... gute Frage xD. Die scheinen beide keinen RΓΌckzieher machen zu wollen xD *lach*.
Der Dino gefΓ€llt mir etwas besser als Shiro; sowohl perspektivisch, als auch durch den coolen Lichteinfall xD, weil man die Gesichtskonturen so schΓΆn erkennt.
Aber ganz ehrlich: Ich finde der HG stiehlt den Chars fast schon ein biΓchen die Schau xD. Der ist echt ober genial geworden! Die Felsen kΓΆnnt ich stundenlang ansehn ^_^;.

the neck on the dino seems a bit long, and as someone mentioned, the tongue a bit too small. Other than that, fabulous work!

the tounge isn't too small. It's because of the angle. I had a longer version of it, flipped the picture many times to see if it works.
And it didn't.
If I would have let it be as long as in the beginning everyone on dA would have told me it would be too long. Trust me.
