This is concept work I designed for the upcoming game by Wildfire Games called "0.A.D." [link]Each civilization in the game has a civilisation centre that acts as the central point of the player's empire. Each of the 6 civlizations in the game is unique to history, in this case architecturally. Being charged to design the buildings for the game comes as quite a challenge to an artist. How do I keep each civ's tileset (set of art) unique in flavor, yet retain ease of recognition for the player, who might incidentally be waging war across a huge map, managing his/her economy, and trying to maintain good relations with allies all in real-time?
This is the Civilisation Centre for the Persians civilisation. Does it look Persian? Does it "look" like a town center? You be the judge. Compare and contrast to the ROMAN Civilisation Centre [link]

Congratulations, excellent work. I just discovered 0AD tonight and it is really really cool ! Oh, I just see that you posted this in 2005... OK!! Are you still involved in the game ? I read that it is planned to complete in late 2013...
