Been really busy the past few weeks so I wasn't able to submit anything. I finally got around to finishing this though, gradually... It's another traditional media dragon. It's based off the "five-lined skink." Just like the penguin dragon I did this in polychromos color pencils.Related content

Thank you! I am very passionate about combining animals with my dragons! Nature has so many wonderful colors and shapes its hard sometimes to pick which one to go with. The Five-Lined Skink just happened to be a lizard I remember from my childhood. I loved the coloration of those lizards! I even remember thinking they were poisonous b/c they are so colorful. They really aren't though LOL.

(The closed I've seen in the blue-tongued skink. Not as pretty in colours as the one you mentioned, but that tongue always amazes me! XD)

Yep I just love to learn about new animals I can possibly turn into dragons! I have a bestiary of animal dragons inside my head I'm working on LOL. All the forms, colors and shapes I can design. I am a designer at heart. That's why I was always interested in concept art.
The skinks are some amazing creatures. The blue-tongued skink isn't as colorful, true enough, but I love earth tones as well and they have a beautiful striped coloration! Wish I had all the time in the world and I'd make a dragon for every animal.....
