IDW has just announced the next big event, INFESTATION 2, and with it, my latest project. Once again, they make not only 1 of my dreams come true: take part in an event, and work on 2 of some of my fave things, Lovecraft and TMNT. Can't get any bigger than this, elder gods squaring it off against the heroes in a half shell. I've so much love for the TMNT property, especially the original gritty Mirage days. Can't thank everyone at IDW for another huge honor, especially with this coming off the heels of Zombies vs. Robots: Undercity.Written by uber talented writer/artist Tristan Jones (check out his Ghostbusters work), who also is a Mirage alumnus, so you guys know it's definitely gonna be special.

I just wanna say thatif this was just the Turtles by themselves starring in this event I would be picking this book up because like you I love the Turtles and seeing them battle Lovecraftian horrors is more than enough incentive for me to drop by. Your art looks superbly gritty and a perfect match for the story's tone. I look forward to seeing what you do for the comic itself. Will it be like this? Cause it looks really wicked cool. This event looks to surpass the last zombie-thon, which was amazing in my opinion, and I can't wait.
I can't wait to see what you and the rest of the gang over at IDW come up with! I hope the heroes in half shells show the Old Ones what turtle power is all about! Keep up the good work Mr. Torres.

Don't worry bout the crossover, man. Unlike the common practice, IDW's great in making the participating titles solid when read on their own (but you do get to enjoy the entire event more if you check the others.) I think that's been the usual fear of most, and something that IDW's been really careful and in consideration with. They're really awesome!
Thank you for the very kind words, really appreciate it, and yes, the books will mostly be illustrated this way. We would love for you to check the 2 issues out when it comes out bi-monthly on March. Both me and writer Tristan Jones have great passion for the Turtles, just like a lot of hardcore fans out there, and we're more than excited to bring our A-game for this project.
