Kinda funny ... in my script (wip) both Fara and Kursed are sommoned to active service again and this is more or less how they end up when Fara tracks her down in order to pass her their orders. (Starfox had been an official devision of the cornerian armed forces during the war and unlike the remaining starfox members she was never "mustered out" or released from her duties again but declared a deserter.... and since she's needed for her unique abilities she's offered her actual rank and exemption from punishment ... )
The coming together of Fox and both his ex-gfs allowes for some cool twists ....

I don't really like seeing Krystal on the defensive though ... looks like Fara is about to grab Krystals hair and punch her face which'd make this fight rather short
On the other hand she's older and probably stronger than Krystal and well ... you can't always win .... sometimes you have to take the beating...
I can think of more reasons for their fight than just clarifying the pecking order regarding Fox. Their job? ... skills? .... misguided unresolved sexual tension *lolz**just kidding*

The event you are speaking of did not occur in the same universe and reality that Fara Comes from, and thus she would have no reason to care.
The only common interest the two girls have that is consistent between their respective versions of the StarFox universe is that they have BOTH had relationships with Fox McCloud. I can not think of any other thing that would put the two girls at each others throats like that, since they are otherwise technically on the same team, unless you are making up your OWN version of reality in your mind ... in which case, THAT is what would have absolutely NO Relevance to what the artist "Intended".
Additionally, if you read the description and followed the link to the image that the artist took the girls displayed outfits from, you would see that the image of inspiration in question shows both girls cuddling up to Fox TOGETHER. So ... logically ... since this seems to be an unofficial follow up to that other image, it is logical to presume that the source of the girls disagreement is related to their relationship to Fox.
