Description
Commission for my driving instructor. She wanted a portrait of her dog Simba who recently passed away.It's taken quite a long time, but he's a lovely dog to draw. I hope I did him justice, since he's pretty adorable.
I'm going to start work on the other commission tomorrow night since I'll actually have time then. I've been pretty busy lately (as well as procrastinating just a little ^^' ) so I haven't had much time for drawing.

His eyes were a little tricky to get the colour right since the photograph I was given had really obvious reflection in his eyes (they turned green

wow! this is great. He looks a bit like Jake. I really like how you chose to make him look younger rather than older. It helps keep the memories good.

Yeah, I think making him look healthier than he did in the photograph (because he did look quite old bless him) makes a really nice change. I had to guess his eye colour from what I'd been told too since the flash had turned his eyes luminous. But luckily I got the colour spot on, which I'm very relieved about
