Redraw of an old drawing from 2011.

Sometimes, i get stuck in a rut and feel like my skills as an artist are regressing rather than progressing. To combat this, i redrew a very old drawing from way back when. It helps to remind ourselves that we progress at our own rate. And really, the point of art is to have fun doing and learning along the journey. My art skills still aren't what i want them to be, (i can still see that I am terrible with backgrounds and gold lol ) but it strives me to keep trying. i quit drawing for 4 years and i deeply regret it. It makes me wonder the progress that i lost out on during those miserable times. Regardless, i'm doing art again now and i look forward to where it takes me. Even if it takes me a million years to get where i wanna be, there will still always be room for improvement. In 10 years from now, i may look at this picture and think "wow, i can do better than that." And that's okay. For now, i am proud of the progress i have made. i never want making art to stop being fun. If that ever happens, then i will have failed myself.
