This is a really nice picture. Such a traditional thing, old men playing chess out in public.. Almost cliche yet it always makes a great shot. I like how this one stands out because of how large the chess board is! You got this at the perfect time of day, the lighting is great. The balance is a little off with the board being cut out a bit on the right, some slight movement would have avoided that (or less cropping if it was post-cropped). Really nice

I have to admit I think 'Wizard Chess' right away with the people standing so close to the board. A real live chess set with much larger pieces. Truly a site to see. I do suggest, if you get the chance to capture one again though, try to make sure you get all the pieces, and crop out the bag 
The expression though are so serious and thought filled. 'It's your move!'

Maybe I get another chance in autumn, I will try to capture the whole scene then. I guess, I was too fixated on the men, I didn't realy pay attention on the figures. One learns by experience.

Really nice shot. I love the expressions you've caught, and I do like the black and white a lot.
I almost wish you hadn't cut off the last chess piece on the right, or cropped it so it wasn't cut off. Otherwise, it's a great piece of everyday life
