Description Modeled a little ball bearing in blender as a test, then made it on my 3D printer, was a nice exercise, and now I have a functional ball bearing XD

clarification: a ball bearing is the little ball. This is a spin grommet.

I know this is pretty late, but it actually is a ball bearing, as the device is a ball (supported) bearing. Β The balls are called bearing balls, because they bear the (radial, in this case) load. Β

Spin grommets would be something akin to what you find on office desks, with openings to allow cable routing.

Neat, did it require a lot of trimming?

beside the support structure for printing? not really, I wont lie it did need some trimming to remove some imperfections at the contact points with the support but beside that, nothing

I would like to see a 3D printed figure

Planning to do figurines in the near future (if all goes well a couple of months?), but the first stage is making more simple stuff for some specific niches, like industrial engineering architecture and fantasy/cosplay accessories.

So cool!
Oh the fun I could have with one of them (though I would likely just get lazy and not use it much >w<)

Hehe well as long as you can model it, it can make it right?

yes, sort of, there are size restrictions on the machine XD , and also you must think how is best to build it so it will print in as little time as possible and using as little material as possible too
