This is my first ever rant on something. I know this one has been talked about sometimes, but I just wanna talk about the extremely awful stuff in this steaming hot pile of garbage. Which is why I'm gonna be ranting about Animation Twitter and why it's a big problem that I have on social media. There are more bad things in this than there are good. Here are the bad things in Animation Twitter.
1. They always bash and hate a movie before it releases. Now, tanasweet123 is not alone. I also hate it when this happens. This has happened with Turning Red, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Elemental. Now it's happening with Inside Out 2, Wish and Elio.
2. They tend to spread false information about a movie before it officially comes out. That further explains reason 1. JuanpaDraws says that it's happening to Inside Out 2 about Disgust and Fear being removed. NO THEY ARE NOT BEING REMOVED!!! Their voice actors are being replaced by someone else.
3. They always attack, insult and send death threats to the cast, the film makers and music makers of a movie. Mr. Enter did this to Casey Alexander, a Spongebob Squarepants writer from Season 4-9. I didn't see anyone do that to anyone who worked on Luca and Inside Out, but this happened to Turning Red and Elemental. The former (Turning Red) sparked outcry for its animation while The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild came out 2 months before Turning Red. The latter (Elemental) had a non-binary character named Lake Ripple, Wadeβs younger sibling. Lake Ripple was played by Kai Hauser. One example I seen was a user named "JHickipedia", who attacks and insults the people who worked on Turning Red, calling them "pedophiles". I really feel pretty bad for them because I do agree with GeorgeTheRedEngine15 that it's really disheartening to see something you worked so hard on get bashed relentlessly for dumb reasons.
4. They usually use the term "Mid". It's a term that I find mediocre. That would've been the result if I use a heartbeat accelerating before officially coming up with The Ecstasy of Gold, Metallica's concert introduction music, to open up Rosalie Chiang's Instagram live stream for Streamily signing. I also feel bad for her because her voice performance as Mei was criticized for being "annoying", and Turning Red was judged before it came out.
5. They always do debates of other movies like the "Disney vs Dreamworks". Turning Red, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio were in the debate for who should win the Best Animated Feature award for the 95th Academy Awards. This is commonly known as a studio war. Movie studios are NOT rivals.
6. Aside from using the term "Mid", they also use the term "Woke". That's a term that I hate so much. They used it on Turning Red, Lightyear, and Elemental. They also tend to praise movies by DreamWorks, Illumination and Sony Pictures because of not being 'woke'.
7. They also bash opinions of people who like films that they hate. MrShock12345 opinion on Turning Red (love) gets bashed sometimes by Turning Red haters. If I would've been on Twitter to say something nice about Turning Red, they would've end up attacking me for loving Turning Red.
8.Β There are also those people who make completely stupid comments on a movie like "We like to bash [X]", "Turning Red is cringe" (I had to redact that infamous term), "The characters of Turning Red are annoying", or "These things don't belong in Turning Red! (OMG I LOVE INSIDE OUT AND LUCA)". These comments are Disgraceful! Disgusting! Despicable!
Good lord! Seeing what Animation Twitter does is absolutely not fair and painful. I absolutely hate Animation Twitter so much. It'll forever remain as not only the worst problem I have on social media, but as one of the most toxic communities and fanbases ever. Animation Twitter is JUST a total mess.
