But People who are sweet have an effect on bitter people, and can get them to lighten up, just like if the coffee hung out with the sugar cube right now.

To me this picture has a strangely deep meaning. The coffee is bitter. The cookie and sugar are sweet. But unless the coffee lets the sugar and the cookie in his life, he will stay bitter forever. In reality this means unless people let sweet, happy people in their lives and close up from everyone (cynism is a form of closing yourself up) they will stay bitter forever. I might make this all up, but did you think of this when you made it? Or am I just making up far-fetched theories?
