I think you sould had drawn a classic milk bottle (like these that are left out of house doors in the morning) instead of a glass.

the progression of a kid drinking milk from a bottle ends up with the kid drinking the milk from a glass because he/she 'grew up' that's the concept of this piece and the relationship between the bottle and the glass.
