Whenever I play this character I just pretend that I'm a Reaper.

Whenever I play as one, the one is in-fact an Awakened Reaper.
Awakened = free from Reaper control.
(Presumed to serve Leviathan to fight Reaper forces in their place)

They are actually called Collector Captains. But it doesn't matter too much.
