Description
The only reason this drawing has that title is because that was the title of the song that inspired it. In fact, Forgiven, by Alanis Morissette, is one of my absolute favorite songs of all time. The idea behind this whole thing contains alot of symbolism, so brace yourselves.
It started out as a normal baptismal pool 'cause well....the song's kinda religion-based. It wasn't until I really started thinking about it when I decided to change things up a bit. I'll just list the things as I have them written:
- Pool of liquefied mana - life in general
- Mana getting into his eyes/ears etc. - life doesn't always go where you want it to
- Mana dripping down in different directions - Life comes at you fast with many unexpected twists and turns
- Mana being flung away - Ridding one's life of sin or making sacrafices in life
- "Emerging pose" - getting rid of depression (depression known as "going under")
- Crosses on mana pool - Forgiveness of one's self or God forgiving the sins in your life.
- Gold and jewels on the pool - Riches in life whether they be material or not.
- Lloyd as a character choice - 'cause I'm obsessed
That about sums it up. I hope that was clear enough for all y'all.
