Sasuke, oh, Sasuke. I see you taking a dangerous path. Blinded, drugged, you follow a strange hissing, leading your way.Step by step you're getting closer to darkness. It's a dangerous game you play, a forbidden dance. The wrong way.

Sasuke, my new obsession. So dark, so lost
I wanted to get that kind of mood, which Jerry captured perfectly!!
I somehow failed...Part of My Theme Challenge . AugustSeptember 2013: "Dancing with the Devil" <--- Perfect theme, Juliet. I made it within one day!!!

wow. i love everything about this, the bandages around sasuke's eyes, the way he's taking unsure steps in the dark, snakes coiling around him, orochimaru's face in the background...and konoha far behind. it's dark, portrays without words what sasuke has chosen, i love this.

I started working on the main theme: Sasuke. All my thought were just turning around him!! Just him. I wanted to show him walking like on a line. Or having a trip (being drugged). But the latter version was hard to show, thus I chose the first idea.
I wanted to show him like leaving Konoha or on the roofs of the village. I hated that part XD I hate doing background etc... But I HAD to do it.
Well, Orochimaru came in accidentally ^^ I wanted to show more threat than simply the snake or Sasuke risky walk.
I'm really happy how it turned out. I wished I would have been working with ink at that point already ^^

That pic is done with a black pen. The rest was filled with photoshop.
I started working with ink some months ago and I think, this artwork could have been better when I was having that ink thing back then already when this piece was created.
But I love your idea about tools and moods. You're very right, I guess. What does aquarell mean to you?

What do you use brush or ink pen? I have had one good ink from Windsor&Newton, the brown one. ) But I used it too rarely that it had spoiled(
Aquarell can means everything) that's why I love it so much.

I have an ink pen. But I can't draw the thin way I'd like to have for some parts, thus I bought 3 copic multiliners last week (my first ever!): 0,1 - 0,3 - 0,5
For larger shading areas, I take a brush.

I'm not familiar with the series, but I definitely think this is one of your more complete pictures. It feels like a whole. And I love the use of contrast.
