Description Rising upon the stream,
Feeling against the pain,
Dreaming against the cold night, I'm swimming upstream.

Hoping against unknown future,
Loving against lonely heart,
knowing it will be better against painful failurs,
I'm swimming upstream.

In A world of cold water I fight in warm heart,
feeling every stream and growing in every part.
I'll be better in time, against the ultimate stream,
I'll grow and fight with my own heart.

-----------------

taken with I.R filter in a little waterfall on the national park of Ramat Gan, Israel.
I can say this is my first official Infra Red shot.
it's very hard to shoot I.R in Nikon D200.

I used 3 shots to get the round perspective of the waterfall's rocks.
taken with 18mm focal lengh and combined the edges of each shot toghether in P.S.
adited and converted to B/W.

there's no Darkroom category so I think the suitable catagory is the photomanipulation.

This is nuts!!! sorry but how did you take this again - I'm a bit of a noob with IR. This is a stitch too?

I used I.R Technique.
it's A special filter.
the nikon D200 dosn't match perfectly to shot IR so it was hard.
I did several shots of the place and stitch them in P.S.
it's like panoramic shot just in IR

needless to say I'm stunned - it's a beautiful result. There is so much of interest going on.

I'm not sure if it's even possible to shoot in IR with my Canon 350D, I REALLY hope so but it will be a loooong time before I have the vision to come up with something like this. Well done

I think you can shoot IR with your cam.
it's sure won't be in the quality like shooting IR with nikon D70 or D50 but in long exposure under the right conditions during the day while using the IR filter you can come up with something nice.
My IR abilities in the camera is more or less like yours.
much more hard to get but with the right technique it's possible

if you need any help with it tell me

It's annoying to find I'm really interested in IR AFTER buying my camera not before!
I just did the same with a 10-22mm lens - I wasn't told in the shop that a canon 10-22mm was a TRUE 10-22mm (apparently) so I baught the sigma 10-22 with re-assurances that it'd be practically the same !

Well anyway, no use crying about it now Your offer certainly makes it easier to live with - I might just take you up on it if that's ok

yeah, that's why you always need to check in another place before you but and to do you own research.
but, never mind, the sigma lens is good, I have sigma 10-20 and I love it!
very sharp, vivid colors, wide ofcourse and fast!

be my guess to use my offer.
that's why I offer it

Ok ... it took some time!!!!
I took the plunge and got a Hoya R72
I'm looking forward to having a play with it tomorrow but so far I seem to be getting a bright reflection of the aperture in the middle of the image ... hopefully it'll be a simple trick to fix!
I hope all is well with you
