leonardi da vinci is the first thing that came to my mind when i saw this, kind of like a charcoal drawing. i love the title and how it connects with the closed eyes, as if he is imagining and we are trying to see.

A really brilliant black and white portrait! I love portraits. I love black and white pictures. I love this picture! There is so many thins saying that this guy is old. The look on his face gives me a sence of being tired after a long life. The bierd works for me like a counter of years. Like the rings in the wood. I really like the cut. Brilliantly done.
