Would be interested in seeing how this works with the costume Β on. It seems to me that it would take a rather large hole to get this in place and I see this hole gaping open and not looking very attractive. Please help me by showing a full dress costume with this in use.

I'm sorry I'm a little confused I can't tell in the picture how the wings are attached to you, they look like they're just floating there. how are they attached to you if they aren't slipped into a bra/corset?

There are clear elastic bands that go around each arm.Β The U-bar in the back that you can slip under your bra/dress is for stability, but for the tutorial I just have it on over my shirt.Β My friend who wanted this tutorial was making a TinkerBell costume and that dress has a low back where the bar slips into.
Does that make any sense or is it still confusing?

Oh my gosh so sorry for the late reply, I've been such a bum lately. To answer your question, I used a standard wire coat hanger. So it's about 41.5 inches of wire long once unfolded.

I've tried that.. oy, it's sooo uncomfortable having that metal piece in the back.. lol.. but the wings stand out very good with it.

You should be able to bend the back wire so it lies nice on your back. If it is still uncomfortable you can wrap it with a soft cloth. Maybe even fleece if you need extra cushioning. That should relieve the discomfort.
