My entry for the Final Fantasy XI 9th anniversary fan art contest.It won Copper prize! I was so happy and excited when I saw it up on the playonline website! And I even got a nifty Chocobo Beret for my character in game!
I spent way too much time doing the design and the line work. I was really rushed to finish it for the deadline, but I like how it turned out despite all the corners I had to cut with the shading.

This picture kind of makes me miss my Ninja. Then again considering what the game became with nothing but weapon trials and AF upgrades... maybe not.

This is really cool. I'm glad you kept the background simple with the enemies and didn't go crazy with it. Too much for the eye! lol Your detail with the AF3 pieces are just fantastic. ^^

Thank you! Yeah I had a few ideas about what to do for the background, and I think going with the simpler outlines turned out nice. And like you said, not too distracting from the central characters that I did want to be the focus.
