Description Probably the last screen print I'll be adding here since I hate my final project in that class so far. XD

Five ink layer silk screen print using transparencies and photo emulsion techniques. The registration of the red ink gave me the most trouble. This one out of the 40 was the one that came out best in my opinion. The background was supposed to be a midnight blue, but while mixing the inks I added too much black, so it just looks black. Other than that I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

The assignment was actually to make book pages. So everyone in the class had to make thirty prints (but I had to do extras since quite a few I messed up on BIG TIME) of their own design and then gave everyone a page for their book.

The image was mostly inspired by the "Girl and fish" pictures by my friend + wanting to do some elaborate alchemic circles. The circles are actually from FFXI, the left is the Avatar summoning circle, the right is the DRG 2hr "Spirit Surge" crest, and the little green ones are Shell magic emblems.

...I can't wait to be on summer vacation. Just one more week of classes then finals week. -_-

Just looking back on this again; so cool!

Where did you find the designs for the in-game seals to reference them?

Thanks! I have that AltanaViewer program. So I could pull up the magic effects for a good reference.

Screen printing? Well basically you have a screen and you use gunk to block out most of it except the parts of the image that you want to print and then you use a squeegee to push ink through the screen onto your printing surface.

*looks at it*......hmmmm..... Oo *looks again* whoa, wait a tic....

Yeah, it was just like that. Took me a moment to notice just WHAT was going on there. It's cool though now that I see it. I like the style. Again, complicated though...

FINALS ARE OVER FOR ME ....<<;
