This is my current opinion on the British Colubian Teachers' Strike. All public schools in British Columbia have been closed for an official TWO WEEKS, and students have been at home either trying desperately to do their MASSIVE mounds of homework (like me) or sitting around playing X-Box or PS2 for endless hours of the day (like me), or both (like me).

Jinny Sims is the president of the teachers' union. She's a dictator who probably hasn't taught a single class in her life, but decides that it's absolutely necessary for the teachers to get more money. This has nothing but bad repercussions.

If anything, the money should be going toward more textbooks (my calculus class was short at least 13 textbooks. Luckily, many dropped out and we managed to even out the people without books.) and classroom expansion (my English classroom is built for 20 desks... there are over 30.)

I drew the blade as the Teachers' Union because they're being wielded by Jinny Sims to force the government to take action, and it's also heavily damaging our education. The provincial exams are NOT being postponed, and there are good chances that we'll be studying out of our Christmas break and maybe even into our summer holidays, should this go on any longer. I wanted to graduate this year. Yeah... right. Fuck that...
