The second of I'm sure many pictures for 's weekly thing Draw me a Pokemon where someone calls out a Pokemon and we all draw it for them! The winner of that rounds get's to call out the next one. And before I forget, because I completely forgot on my last one, if I win I call out Giritina (either form is ok but I like it's normal form best ^^ (and I know it's not Charizard!))So anyways... this week called out Noctowl, a Pokemon I've had many times before.. but never really... fell in love with. Never the less I loved drawing this picture as I've been wanting to draw an owl for a while.
And this one does tie into my evil cat Mia as well, you know the glare the Great Horned Owls naturally have on their face due to their face and feature structure? (example: [link] Β§ion=&q=great+horned+owl#/dhia1l )Well that's how Mia looks at me. Only it's not because of face/feature structures.
I laugh at those who thoguht I wasn't being serious in my last journal entry. I am doing one every week and I am trying to keep them sketchy and as realistic as I can. This time I had no reference for him, so I used the pictures I did have and just made up a pose.

Meadow, a young Noctowl bred from the union of Benjamin and a wild female who has no name, is the very poster child of Noctowl perfection; sharp eyesight, powerful hearing, a fierce loyalty, sharp talons, and great strength. I was proven that she is the child of the famous Benjamin through the use of blood tests, showing that Benjamin mated with many wild females during his jobs as a delivery bird.

Ah, it's just a random little note. If you look at some of my other comments you will see that they are basically field notes and information on pokemon and specific individuals. The sharp look in the eyes of this Noctowl made me want to do some notes on a Noctowl that matches this picture.

By the way, Benjamin is an old Noctowl who used to be a delivery bird. During his many jobs he did a lot of, ahem, courting. Meadow is just one of a confirmed two hundred Noctowl and Hoothoot who are either sons and daughters of Benjamin or his grandchildren. In short, Benjamin was a pimp.

Awesome! Great job! I really liked how this one turned out. One of the main pokemon I use in my team. Mainly because the owl reminds me of Kaepora Gaebora from Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Nice going with this epic drawing Sothe

But on a serious note, I love the details, and you did it absolutly great. If you look REALLY closely you'd find some things a little bit out of proportions.
(Feet are a little bit weird placed when taking the bodyposition into consideration. Also I think the poofy thing in the face are a little bit insymetrical. But as far as anatomy goes, it looks good.) Keep in mind that I ahve never ever drawn owls, or have studied it in any way. So I may be wrong xD

Thank you for pointing out my flaws, seriously not enough people give me a nice serious cretique like this and I really wish they would.
