A nice summery pic that I drew to herald the oncoming summer months!

I cant wait for the warmer summer days, where I can get out of the apartment and go spend some time down at the pool and get some sunshine! High summer, where the sun is bright and the cool water becons is a part of the year I really enjoy.

On to the piccy; the girl is on a ropeswing, probably out over a lake or large river. Its a long one, so you have to run out along the shoreline and either jump onto it, or hold by the wooden handle. If you are good at it you can get some distance...of not your feet wind up draging in the water

The girl herself was an experiment wth a little foreshortening in the legs, and movement in an odd/unusual environment. I also played a little with shading and reflective lighting. It was quite allot of fun, actually.

A freind of mine in gradeschool used to have one like this, and there were two bulkheads with a telephone pole bolted across them. We used to grab the rope and run out along the pole, then go swinging out into the puget sound at high tide. Days like that were so much fun, and I'll probably to another piccy similar to this one, of the days we used to do that.
