I was working on a website too... but mine looks way too similar to yours so damn it dude I am going to have to start over! You know I think I will just start to hate you for the hell of it. Yeah, I think that will be nice.
You are doing a good job thus far... (still mad it looks similar to mine own though) But hey, GREAT minds think alike... lol. Starting over is no big deal... I can work out kinks and shit and get my design almost flawless. GOOD LUCK

It says 100% Photoshop. It's possible to do that from scratch with photoshop? :WTF:

I'd lose all the devart promo. Could potentially send a client to find someone else for a job..
I really like the design, think the layout could do with some adjusting though, not keen on the spacing between buttons on the left.

Yeah, man, this looks smooth. I love the soft light thing you've got going; looks pretty awesome.
... aw man, this comment looks tiny as fuck, compared to the beast that Docdan posted.

Trully ownage. It's really great. Colors go well together. It's got the grooves, I mean, it's not monotone.
Flash would make it quite interesting. I'd be able to help you if you wanna. But it may take both time and effort.

Kinda. Takes time more than anything. But it can be learnt. I mean, it's not like C++

I suggest not using tables at all. This is mostly because it's cleaner, and is essentially a web-standard. Tables are to be used for tabular data- not for site structure. CSS should be used for the site structure. I only say this because Hyper3D seems to be telling you otherwise. Also, with a site like this you are pretty much going to have to keep a fixed size for everything. You don't need to buy any expensive software for this either. I don't mean to disagree with Hyper3D so much, but I do . If you've never coded anything before, it won't be an easy thing to do, but it is definitely possible with some good help.
As for the actual design, it looks pretty nice! Keep in mind that the text will not be anti-aliased. Check out Verdana at 11-12px for a good, universal font. If you want the art to be the center of attention, keep the content as is; but, if you want the text to be more important, I would put the text on the left and the art on the right of the content. Keep in mind that this will rely a lot on non-repeating images, so the load-time of the page will reflect this. I don't know if that really matters to you, but it's something that could be considered
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Keep working- this website will turn out sick in the end, I'm sure. If you need any help learning how to code in CSS/XHTML definitely drop me a note, or contact me with anything on my dA page!
-Dan

Don't ask me, I don't even know what WIP means but hear it all the time here.
You know, I never realised that main picture was telling a story of planets life cycle until I read the text next to it but now seeing the two opposing halves it has become so obvious.

And that solves an age-old question that I was too afraid to ask at the risk of looking like an idiot. Thanks for telling me.

ha, have fun coding that one matey, you'll need some pretty good js work to make it work cross-browser. and i have a feeling you're going to have to use a lot of images for the UI, making it slow.

Das Blau auf Grau fine ich persΓΆnlich nicht so passend... vielleicht lieber was dunkel-grΓΌnliches? Auch Striche unter den Links kΓΆnnen oft hΓ€sslich sein.
