Oh yeah, try to work out your page template down the very last pixel, that way you don't have any blowouts on your tables.(meaning decide your entire page size and work out the size of all things within that page.) Also try not to set a height on your table, Your content's height and amount will determine that.

Very catching design. As far as I can tell it can all be done in XHTML. Dreamweaver would be the tool to use if you don't know how to code. Just get a little tutorial book on basic html tags and dreamweaver will help you do the rest. Also read up on table, as you will definitely need them for you design.

example

(row)

(column)
"content"

If you do get dreamweaver, which I suggest, work in split view so that everytime you do something new you can see the code updated right away so you can start to understand it.

Good luck!

hmm dreamweaver? whats that. expensive?

It's a website building software. It works between builder mode(just placing elements within a window and the program writes the code), split view(when you place elements and you see the code updated as it happens, and code mode. Where you write all of the code.

It isn't that expensive, especially if you can get a student to get the educational version for youfor a discount.

Hi, I am a web designer and I would be more than happy to help! I am a bit of a beginner myself but I have 3 sites under my belt. Just send me a message if you want to talk.

It's really very pretty. The only graphical thing, though, is the glow surrounding the gallery button, which seems a bit much, but others (including you) might disagree.

If you haven't learned them yet, XHTML and CSS are very easy to learn, especially if you mess around with the code of other websites. You kind find tons of sites to learn on the web, don't worry.

Hey, that looks pretty cool!

I have some good experience in coding, except for Flash. You might want to use Flash for your site, then again, maybe not. A lot of effects can be achieved simply with some good CSS and a little of Javascript.

If you would like some help, I'll be willing to give you some tips along the way.

Just remember, (X)HTML and CSS are some of the easiest things to learn in the world of coding, I'm sure you'll have no trouble with it.
