Next time, don't use the paint bucket, use the eraser tool.
Here's a few tips for the eraser tool:
1: Press the Ctrl button and the + button and it'll make the eraser larger, opposite effects if you press the Ctrl and the - buttons.
2: If you use the eyedropper tool you can change the colors. Say I want to turn a red color into green. I would use the eyedropper tool and left click the red and right click the green color. Click back on the eraser tool and hold down the right button on your mouse, the red would turn to green.
