Personality :

Gao might be a pony, but he has the heart of a full size horse. Brave to a fault and always enthusiastic to get to work, he is a dream to ride and jump with, though his energy might be a little hard to handle for beginner riders. He doesn't like standing still for even a short time and large open fileds make him want to go zoom, but he always tries his best to listen to his rider and contain himself if that's what's asked of him.

Background :

Gao was born in a small equestrian center in France whose owner enjoyed being a small-time horse breeder, though he had no real experience in it. For much of his youth, Gao was left in a small pasture with his mother and with little contact with humans, which could have turned him into a feral horse if it wasn't for his natural sweet personality. At two years of age, Gao was gelded and sold to a small German stables specializing in training sport ponies. It is there that he discovered his passion for jumping and got to prove he was just as brave (if not moreso) than full-sized horses. After a few years of training and small jumping competitions, Gao was put up for sale and that's when he was noticed by the owners of Bluehill Stables who were looking for a new addition to their riding lessons program. And the little gelding joined the Blue Herd in 2019.
