Biography:
Lichen was born into the Marsh Nest. His father was never in the picture, he died during the pregnancy while trying to provide for his family. But his mother, even though she was struggling, showed endless compassion and kindness to her son and the people of the Marsh Nest. Lichen learned that family is the most important thing in life. And the nest is your family. Thinking this, he wanted to help as soon and as much as possible. Even as a little child he would go around, help the elders and other struggling families any way he could. But it was not enough. The people where hungry. So as soon as he was allowed to, he started training to become a hunter. But he was still VERY young, and hunting is a very dangerous job. During one of his first hunts, Lichen underestimated the situation. He attacked a big and way stronger animal, thinking it would bring lots of food for the nest. But Lichen had no chance, quickly, he was pinned onto the ground and layed into. When his Mentors could finally fend of the beast, Lichen was bleeding badly. His ears were torn to shreds and had to be amputated. I was lucky to have kept his eyesight. But Lichen never gave up. He's an extremely optimistic and energetic guy who isn't easy to get down. After his long work days out hunting, he often visits the tavern. Where he jokes around with his friends and connects with the poeple of the nest he swore to protect. Making friends with Lichen is easy. He's open minded and compassionate and loves to be seen as the hero. But if he ever feels you are a threat to the people he loves, you will quickly see another side of him.

Fiala (Friend)
Fiala and Lichen share a lot of views. They live for their nest and so Lichen instantly took a liking to her.

Leviathan (Friend)
Levi works at the Tavern Lichen frequences, and as such they often get into conversations. They will talk about their day, the news in the nest and joke around. Though they never get into too much personal stuff.

Thirteen (Friend)
Thirteen does everything to help his family, and Lichen can only respect that. He's not too aware of what his job actually entails, but it doesnt seem to be anything that bothers Lichen. They often meet in the Tavern and will have a drink together.

Tsuron (Guardian/Idol)
Tsuron often helped Lichen's mother out when he was still a little doot and quickly became Lichen's idol. He doesnt grasp yet, how illegal the things Tsuron does are, and only sees him in the best light. He got hunting-training from him and even a knife that he values highly and cares for a lot

Kiarr (Cousin)
When Lichen's mother laid her egg, and her husband dies soon after, Kiarr's parents decided the marsh nest would be too dangerous to raise a child. As they soon had an egg of their own, the extended family decided to move to a brighter future: the seashore nest. Only the stubborn Grandma and Lichen's mother, who respected her late husbands views on nest-loyalty, stayed behind. And so Lichen and Kiarr grew up apart, in VERY different circumstances. While Lichen had to work hard to survive and support his nest, Kiarr had more of a carefree childhood. But even through their differences, and Lichen's prejudice against the "traitors", they quickly became good friends. While he can teach her all about the marsh nest she is very interested in, she can show him how to take it easy and have some fun.
