Deviantart wasn't loading earlier tonight so I didn't have references to work on commissions... so I was doing a little touch-up / warm-up edits on this manip I did last year. I was really proud of the manip I did, but a lot of times I struggle getting the colors/backgrounds to do what I want. This just shows that a year gives anyone a bit more practice and patience to come back and look things over again. I didn't repaint anything other than a small touch-up on the tusk. I think what you did with the background and lighting in this version is much better! The character itself is incredible. Your painting always looks natural, but this one is especially realistic! The face is incredible. It can be difficult to find a background that does the character justice, so I think this one is a big improvement.
