This is from the Hetalia fanfic "Auf Wiedersehen, Sweetheart", by George deValier. (link www.fanfiction.net/s/6565449/1… ) I... yeah, this story was good. Very good. I just. I'm still feeling it, ok? (btw, I know that's not the place "bella ciao" is written but I took some liberties
)This guy's writing is so touching and emotional, and the metaphors for war are so painfully beautiful. I love the fact they were not only consuming each other, but also each other's culture by learning their languages. Ludwig was the beauty of Germany and Feli was the beauty of Italy, and seeing that made them put the war behind their understanding. And all the little things, the flower and the photographs and everything... it was amazing. And I may have cried a little. And I'm still not quite over it. Now wish me luck because I'll read the other stories, starting by "We'll Meet Again" probably. Let's see what he did to my OTP ;-; Though I'm not sure if UsUk is still my Hetalia OTP after this, GerIta is on a whole other level now.
Anyway, if you never read that fic you should, even if you're not that into Hetalia.
