As is painfully obvious to anyone acquainted with my tumblr, I am having a bit of a Lord of the Rings fandom resurgence crisis. I have shipped Aragorn and Arwen with unbelievable intensity since before I knew what shipping was, and shortly after seeing The Hobbit I marathoned the film trilogy all in one day and was reminded of how hard I shipped it like a sledgehammer to the face. I've since spent days screeching my myriad feelings to the internet with [link] , and then spent five hours painstakingly sketching this thing from this ref: [link] . Their expressions were clearly edited to suit my purposes, because their happiness was a long time coming and they deserve better.

You can tell I gave up by the time I got to their hair, and honestly by then my wrist hurt too much for me to care. The only thing I'm unhappy with is how I failed to make Aragorn look appropriately his age at his wedding near the end of Return of the King, but I'm even digging the uncharacteristic youth in his face because when he's with Arwen all of his years and his weariness fall away (look it up, bitches, it's canon. Boom.). All in all, for the amount of time I spent on this, I'm pleased with it.
