I hesitate to say it because I'm sur you get dozens of comments like that from all sorts of people but you are a very attractive woman. Nice to see you in some natural photos like this.

one question:
Do you first take the photo
or do you make the outfit
after painting the picture?

She's probably takes the picture beforehand. That would make way much more sense than the other way around.

I don't think she painted the clothes from imagination. She had to have a reference first, and that would most probably the photo.
Not because she can't draw (on the contrary), but it'd be weird that she thought of painting those socks and just happened to have socks exactly like how she imagined them. Same for the clothes, even though they'd be easier to make after painting the picture.
If she painted those socks, that means that she knew she had them or could find them either on the internet or at her house, and that probably means that she thought of the costume beforehand.
Basically, she designed the outfit before making the picture, basing herself on stuff she already had. So it would make more sense if the outfit already existed before and she used it to make sure the painting matches the photo (not to mention you usually start with the simplest things, and taking the photo then starting the painting must have been less trouble than imagining the costume, then finding the materials -especially with the SOCKS- Haha.). That's what I would have done...
In the end, it doesn't really matter wether she took the picture before or after, what we know is that she probably had the outfit's design in her mind beforehand and based herself on that to make the painting, which means that the outfit was the first to really exist, not the painting. Then she made a fancy self-portrait out of it. What is more, a self-portrait is usually made from a reference (in the mirror or thanks to a picture), and if she did, it means that she dressed herself up and so probably took the photo, killing two birds with one stone.
Β So of course anything could have happened, but the thing that makes the more sense would be that she took the picture before starting to paint.
Wow, I really lost myself into that! O.O Congratulations if you read it all up to here! Just tell me if anything's wrong with my reasoning... Or if you didn't understand. ^^'
