Huh. They look familiar, but still a fantastic render.

I thought the Imperial Class star destroyers derived from the Victory Class. The Republic primarily used the Venator Class... which this resembles only in color scheme. So what is this?

This is very nice, is this a captured star destroyer and thats why its a republic cruiser, or is it a republic cruiser because the top is slightly different from that of a imperial star destroyer? Not trying to flame, just wondering.

Actually this is pre-star destroyer star wars era. This is what eventually became the imperial star destroyer. It's kind of like the JSF from SWEP3 [link] ends up becoming the prototype for the imperial tie fighter. I think the empire should have stuck with this designe...

yeah nice star destroyer^^
it looks very cooll with that dusk, that makes the star destroyer bigger, even huge^^ because it looks so far away

Well thanks... actually, it is a republic cruiser model that I tweeked a bit to make it look larger, mainly with the light masks. I wanted it to look more like it housed close to 500,000. I think I pulled it off...

Looks like an imperial star destroyer rather than an American space ship. Are you sure the is New Arizona? Nice job anyway!

Actually, it's a republic cruiser.... I chose to use a different vehicle shape for the fighters, something with more wing, to help lure the viewer away from the star wars universe, as well as tweek the model and light mask a bit to make it look march larger than a mere cruiser.
I guess some of us have just been in the star wars universe too long to see anything else... That's cool though, I saw the first star wars over 200 times... and all the star wars movies combined over 500 times
My thought on this being an earth ship.... the design is simple to build on.... a lot more realistic than star trek vessals, even though we will be pushing that kind of techknology by the time we are building vessals to cary so many, so far, I still think that we lazy earthlings will go with simple.
