The eyes interest me, they are almost like a spider's, but at that depth I would guess the shark would be nearly blind or have big eyes to pick up on any light that reached down at that water level. I see the shark also has more pigment than one might exprpect to see, and it's bioluminescent. so maybe that shark comes up to shallower waters some times? While I feel the Sharks design could be more accurect I think you captured it well.

Many deep sea creatures are bioluminescent and my shark is a kind of an alien. and i just started to draw xD
I dont want to think too much about functionality. This would take out the "flow" i have, when i draw.
I know...it should be more in my interest, to draw more functional. maybe my next drawings will be.
