Description
Tuffty Bitties, Robbe Tuffty (c) NanoBananaBittybones AU (c) Fucken-Crybaby
=== HOW DO I ADOPT A TUFFTY? ===
You just decide to and do! They are totally and completely free for anyone to adopt, so no need to ask (I'll always say yes). You can adopt as many as you like, just make sure to take care of them. You can write about your Tuffty/Tuffties or draw them, change their clothes, give them accessories, etc. The types described here are like describing the differences between a German Shepard dog and a Great Dane dog. They're all Tuffties, just different "breeds", if you will.
If you adopt a Tuffty, please make sure to credit me for the creation of the species and type. Also, DO NOT adopt them just to kill or maim them (or let other Bitties and creatures kill or maim them). Also also, DO NOT declaw them, crop their ears, or dock their tails! That's just cruel.
=== TUFFTEMBER 2021 - DAY 16 ===
This type is loosely based on several types of rabbits (including the European rabbit, all the breeds of domestic rabbit, and the Sylvilagus genus of wild rabbits and cottontails)! Hares are an entirely different species and are not covered by the Robbe Tuffty type. ^_^
Robbe Tuffty
Height / Tail Length: 7.2 - 13.8" (18.3 - 35.1 cm) / 1.4 - 2.5" (3.6 - 6.4 cm)
Ear Types: Small, medium, or large and either floppy or upright
Fur: They grow fur on their ears, tails, feet, and a tuft on their heads; their colorations range from black to white and every natural color and pattern in between (any naturally occurring color/pattern on existing species of rabbit: European rabbit, any of the domestic breeds, and the Sylvilagus wild rabbit and cottontail species)
Diet: Herbivore
Favorite Food: Based on the individual.
General Opinion: Generally positive. The wide variety of colors and patterns and personalities makes them highly appealing. More docile and pleasant personalities tend to be the most sought after, but even the more shy and skittish individuals are loved for their cute and fluffy appearance. Wild Robbe Tuffties can be seen as a bit of a nuisance since they can get into gardens and munch away on various flowers or crops. They are also seen as "lucky", which is unfortunate since there is a small underground market for Robbe Tuffty feet (which are seen as good luck charms and are preserved with just enough magic to keep the removed appendage from dusting).
Traits: Gregarious, social, vigilant, intuitive, spontaneous, witty, can be a bit of a trickster (and usually uses this to escape predators), clever, can be a bit silly or foolish, playful (when they feel safe), variety of personalities, some can be flighty or skittish, some can be calm, they do things on their own terms and don't like to be forced to do things, they don't do well when they're completely alone and can become quite anxious and depressed
Notes: Wild Robbe Tuffties live in relatively large groups and have a home range that they maintain and defend from other colonies of Robbe Tuffties. Fights between rival colonies most often take place at dusk and can resemble a war with the viciousness of the battles. The winning colony will expand their range into the defeated colony's territory and sometimes members of the rival colony will join up with the winner. They dig networks of tunnels and burrows and usually only venture out at dawn and dusk. Robbe pups are usually raised by their Donor and Carrier parents, but some colonies also raise the young communally. Young Robbe Tuffties are kept in well-protected sections of the burrow (usually lined with dry grasses and shed fur) while the adults without young huddle together in larger chambers for warmth. Robbe Tuffties will go through a major shed twice a year, in Spring and Autumn, but have also been known to stress-shed. These Tuffties can adapt to an outdoor or indoor environment fairly easily, but those with more striking fur colors and patterns tend to fall to predation earlier in life. Tuffty eyelights are round but can have "rings" inside or outside the main eyelight.
Anatomical Notes: Robbe Tuffties have tough claws at the end of every digit to help with digging. They also have a top and bottom set of incisors that grow steadily and continuously (they will need something to gnaw on regularly to help keep the length in check). They can have natural colored freckles, patches, and stripes on their bones.
Breeding Notes: Litters born between Tuffties will blend traits between the parents. If breeding with another type of Bitty (like Plumies) and the Tuffty is the Carrier Parent, then all offspring will be a Tuffty. If the Tuffty is the Donor Parent, then all offspring will be the same type as the Carrier Parent (no hybrids!). Robbe Tuffties can inherit colors and patterns from other Tuffty types but not other Bitty types (like Plumies).
