Oh snaps 3rd post today!Well, people have voiced (erm, typed?) interest in my Conbadges on many occasions but I don't feel I've been totally creative with them. Apparently my style is already out of the "norm" by not being a rectangle with a headshot - but these are some ideas I've either seen someone else do or I've always wanted to try.
[Here's what they normally look like]
Top left is ~RaowenBlackbird 's Colette;
More or less interacting with the clip thing.
Top right is =Majime 's White Demon;
Went with the "PaperFur" idea of hanging.
Bottom left is ~TheDeKay 's Devon;
Just wanted to try puzzle piece idea.
Bottom right is !zeriara 's Unterbedd;
Messing with shapes for a "background".
I'd love ANY INPUT on these or if you have other ideas I am willing to try anything. I may give the puzzle piece concept a go on some couples badges eventually. Otherwise, I just want to be more creative with these than a bust & name like always. :[ These'll all be finished sometime - I'd like to trade with all listed here, but if you can't/don't want it'd be a gift anyways.

I just had a thought though! You should draw a character that's smooshed into the lines of the badge. Like, as if they were in a box. XD I think that would be pretty funny.
But as far as these, they look good. Some of the most interesting in posing.

I was going to do something of that sort with the puzzle piece, but I didn't have much space left on the cardstock to work with more detail like that. XD; But I will do it on a later piece for sure! Thanks too. 8]

It sounds like it'd be fun. I might actually try it out. XD I made a Badge for myself for FC...but it was at the Con so I had limited supplies. But it was still pretty cool doing one.

I love them all. They're really great ideas- and I always love conbadges that are "out of the box" so to say :3 Makes them more interesting to look at.
Lol, what would be awesome is to have like a series of those puzzle badges that all matched up and fit together to make some kinda picture... but that would take A LOT of work.

I think the puzzle pieces is an interesting idea.
You should try painting directly onto chunky puzzle pieces. Like, not printed out. But real pieces.

Thanks! Unless I draw them right on each other in the process, using cardstock will be kinda tedious - but I will look into using the actual pieces sometime; if I recall correctly, Micheal's has blank puzzles (pieces) in different sizes! 8]

If you were feeling FINE ARTSY (haha) or just it would be cool to paint on like a giant's kid's puzzle pieces. Even with the existing image behind it might make for some cool overlay/noise in the background.
I'd suggest using acrylics though if you're gonna try that.

I still have two of those ATCs to finish with the purple theme, as well as get a sketch up of my monster for :savvypanda:'s CA:NM thing, but I will soooooo be inspired to do a badge for So now x3

I've been reading up in your LJ and been meaning to comment, but always get distracted by something else and never do x3 As for commishies and trades, finish whatever you need to first, THEN work on trades and stuff. I know moolah is important, and I'm a patient woman, so take your time.

IDEA: What if you put characters on backgrounds that match the character's element? Like if someone was nature-y put them on a leaf, a zombie put them infront of a tombstone, or something. I hope I'm making sense becauae i'm half asleeep. I'm sure this is chock full of spelling errors.

I really adore the "paper fur" idea. XD Especially that WD one. But really all the concepts are awesome. The puzzle piece is very original. I don't think anyone has thought of that. Especially not for couples. (Here's hoping no one steals the idea. XD But I guess it's the art world, and everyone's going to be inspired anyway.)
I'm always pleased with your conbadge ideas, so it's hard for me to come up with something. Sorry that I'm really no help. XD

I really like these. It's cool to see weird con badges instead of just a square. Actually I think all the ideas are pretty sweet.
The puzzle piece one could definitely be cool if you had multiple, like I'd be so stoked for the idea of a bunch of puzzles with my Three Cheers for Apathy characters that all interlocked. Or even if a bunch of friends wanted some.

I like these a lot, actually. They're definitely out of the norm, which is pretty cool. I think the puzzle piece concept is especially neat. It'd be cool to make interlocking pieces for friends/couple badges and stuff like that. (Super combo) I also like the PaperFur look, and the escaping from background, and even the clip interaction.
Basically, all of these are basically something new, and I like it. Changin' it up= cool.

I adore the puzzle piece, and the "grabbed by the wings" ... they're definitely my favorites. I also like it when the character appears to be reaching out/leaning out of the 'background', creating one edge of the badge.
But these are great, fabulous ideas. ^_^

I think it looks cute with the almost chibi like the one here, but I like the way it looks with animals too... plus it gives you a chance to stretch your artistic boundaries. :3
