but anyways, a closed species essentially a community/group/species that has specific traits that are special to them. typically 'closed' means only the creator can make/sell them. some popular examples would be linehearts , dainties , kowaiko , and thousands more. if you browse their gallerys you can see 'species sheets' to see what traits make them unique.
this is a brief definition my friend came up with c:
'An original creation/race belonging to a specific creator/artist that is unique; which helps distinguish that creator/artist. Only the creator/artist can invite or allow others to use their closed species, via purchasing pre-made designs called adoptables or MYOs' 'It's like- branding really. Branding on clothes/products, etc.'
