Okay, a second Ichthyosaur stamp. This time featuring Temnodontosaurus platyodon illustrated by Esther Van Hulsen.Temnodontosaurus was big, and I mean GIGANTIC in real life: www.prehistoric-wildlife.com/iβ¦
I couldn't resist making a stamp for this guy too since I recently got myself the lovely CollectA Temnodontosaurus figure which features this marine reptile frozen in time giving birth to it's live young.

Looks more like some kind of weird deep sea fish than an Ichthyosaur.
But well, since Ichthyosaur means "fish lizard" in Latin, I can kinda see why they decided to use that name for that critter design.
